Abigail to Eamon

Abigail is a minor character in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. She was part of a ship that was attacked on the Sundering Seas by the worm. Abigail was portrayed by Virginie Laverdure, appearing in the episode "Adrift".

History[]

Abigail fled the Southlands when the Orcs attacked. She and her fellow villagers set sail on the Sundering Seas to escape, but faced another bad fate when they were attacked by a sea creature they called the worm. They were left stranded on a makeshift raft for two-weeks. They once debated killing Doble, an idea Abigail wasn't bothered by at the time. They came across the displaced and exhausted Galadriel, who initially hid her true identity as an Elf. Abigail brought her onboard and protected her from Eamon who wanted to leave her in the seas. However, when Galadriel's race was revealed, Abigail was angered and felt betrayed. The worm attacked the raft and Abigail blamed Galadriel. She shoved the newcomer overboard, only to perish herself when the worm attacked again.[1]

Personality[]

Abigail was a generous woman as she was willing to share her limited rations and space with a distressed and stranded Galadriel. She was vehemently against her comrades refusal to let her board, and offered a helping hand to the stranger. However, her fear and paranoid about the worm and prejudice against Elves led her to turn on Galadriel as fast as she welcomed the Elf.
