J.R.R. Tolkien was an English writer and philologist, famously known for his extensive epic fantasy novels Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. His world-building abilities make him one of the most famous authors of all time. His works were adapted into many forms after his death, including the 2024 Prime Video series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
