Middle-earth is a large landmass to the east of Valinor across the Sundering Seas. It is home to Elves who never left for Valinor, Men, Dwarves, Harfoots, Ents, and Orcs.

The Elves dwelling in Valinor sailed east to Middle-earth to face the Great Foe, Morgoth.[1]
