Season Two is the second season of Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. It is due to premiere with the first three episodes on August 29, 2024, and will conclude on October 3, 2024. The season will consist of eight episodes.
Official Synopsis[]
In Season Two of The Rings of Power, Sauron has returned. Cast out by Galadriel, without army or ally, the rising Dark Lord must now rely on his own cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power, which will allow him to bind all the peoples of Middle-earth to his sinister will. Building on Season One's epic scope and ambition, the new season plunges even its most beloved and vulnerable characters into a rising tide of darkness, challenging each to find their place in a world that is increasingly on the brink of calamity. Elves and dwarves, orcs and men, wizards and Harfoots… as friendships are strained and kingdoms begin to fracture, the forces of good will struggle ever more valiantly to hold on to what matters to them most of all… each other.

- Ismael Cruz Córdova as Arondir - In the wake of two devastating losses -- the elf-soldier Arondir begins Season 2 at a crossroads, caught between two worlds, trying to decide where he truly belongs: in the ancient Númenórean colony of Pelargir, with the mortal Southlanders, including the orphaned Theo – or elsewhere, with his own kind, the elves.[1]
- Charles Edwards as Lord Celebrimbor - After achieving the creative success of an immortal lifetime in forging the Three Elven Rings, Season 2 begins with the visionary craftsman Celebrimbor sidelined, his ambitions put on hold as he anxiously awaits news of the Rings’ fate – making him dangerously vulnerable to Sauron’s lies.[1]

- Lloyd Owen as Elendil - Believing his son Isildur to have been killed in Mount Doom’s eruption, in Season 2 Elendil must grapple with a father’s grief, even as his staunch support of his Queen Regent puts him on the opposite side of a widening political divide from the only person he may care for more: his daughter.[1]
